I'm a big fan of V for Vendetta, so Victor being both a first name and the phonetic alphabets word for the letter V was the first part.

It was originally going to be VictorViolent but I mistyped it on Steam and I've just ran with it. Besides, VictorViolent sounds a lot cheesier in hindsight anyway. Also the actress that V is avenging is called Violet in the novel (Viola in the movie) so it made sense.

ATiLa was my graffiti tag when I got into it. Then I used it for gamer tag on Halo CE, and then it was my tag for a while, until I got an Xbox, and someone surprisingly already had it, so all I had to do was add Rus to it because you know, I'm Russian and that's what Russian people do commonly. The atila is actually related to Attila the khan, and like he rushed Russia, I rushed every battleground in all online games I played, sometimes it worked, sometimes didn't. So it actually kinda fits my play style.
"Yeah, well thats just like, uh... your opinion, man."

A lot of weird shit went in my mind when I was choosing my name. I chose gigantic grunt because in my head I was like, " I'm so powerful that I don't even need to roar, my grunt is enough for the job". The 7 because I thought it is like an icon that symbolizes a gun (the horizontal line is the grip and the vertical line is the barrel), and I thought yeah that is a terrifying name. So I just went for it.
But everyone thinks it's a sweet name and the complete opposite of terrifying. The meaning of my name changed from a terrifying one to "sunshine, rainbows, unicorns and giganticgrunt7" 😀

Interesting. I thought GiganticGrunt was a reference to difficult bowel movements in the bathroom.

When I started to play videogames online as a little kid (Ultima Online and Diablo 2, those were the days!), I used one of those random name generators. I liked two of the names it gave me and I combined them. Been my online name ever since, so if you see "Astireloth" somewhere else, it's probably me 😆

Both great games. Ultima Online was crazy, especially for its time. All those different skills and crazy encounters with both players and weird NPCs.

Yeah the skill system was hard to understand at first. But it allowed some funny combinations. For example, a fierce warrior with swords and shields could play sick tunes with ukulele and make a nice dress with tailoring.

Was trying to figuring out my name....

Start using my own words
Jordy and Rink And added Durability as well to this list.

And so I made Duranoyr later added it to Duranor then Duran and lastly
-DUR4N- Some games I still use Duranor.

My First Shooter was: Warrock --> Combat Arms --> Alliance of Valiant Arms --> 1.6 --> Source --> GO (went pro, won couple tourneys) --> Casual GTA5 (Not close to any of these shooters. But the only thing you need at AI's in GTA 5 is aim on head height and spray in a straight line that way you hit the most while strafing)

My first RPG was Runescape after that a ton of others. Had a time I swapped every 2 weeks to another MMO. on MMOSITE.com, was stuck to Black Desert for a while..

RTS. Started with Age of Empires -->> Warcraft III --> Starcraft II (Was only gold there, all about seconds)

I have had Douk for a long time.
The first online multiplayer game I played was Deltaforce Landwarrior and at the time I loved Duke Nukem 3D as well.
So the obvious choice was picking Duke Nukem as a nickname.

Eventually while moving from game to game it became Duke.
The problem with Duke is that it is quite common so I sometimes had to get around the whole "that username is already in use" by changing it to Douk.
Eventually that just sorta stuck. :)

Which brings us to GTA 5.
The day it came out for the PC was a special day and not just because the game released.
I ended up getting a phone call just a few hours before I started playing where my sister told me I had just become an uncle.
So my character became UncleDouk.
No worries though, I'm not a creepy uncle like Lester.

I want my name to be something big (GRAND) one day, like in a spotlight of the world, then for me it will not be enough and I need to keep on rising (RISER). Riser with "er" cause I want me to be the person who raises something , either my self or other member.

So to be GRAND, you have to RISE. I used to have account name with GrandRise and GrandRising, but eventually ended up with GrandRiser.

Teddy Pickers are the british slang for those really hard-to-win teddybear claw machines you see in malls, arcades.

also, Teddy Picker is a 2007 track from one of my favourite bands called Arctic Monkeys
link to a live version of the track recorded in Glastonbury Festival 2013: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyxrI28nkZc

I've been debating a lot whether to state this or not but here it is!

When I was 8 years old I got a cat, silver, greyish persian cat. This is a picture of him

I decided to call him Smoky so I just stuck with that for a nickname. I had to put pace, which is my surname since most websites and games require a 6 character username.

Regards
Smoky
